Spencer Onishi, DO

Dr. Onishi completed his undergraduate degree at UCLA where he graduated cum laude. He attended medical school at Western University College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Pamona, California, where he graduated with honors. Dr. Onishi completed his ophthalmology residency at the Geisinger Eye Institute, also serving as Chief Resident. Following residency, Dr. Onishi served as an Associate at the Geisinger Eye Institute and became heavily involved with the residency program. He is an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine, participating in didactics for the medical students. Dr. Onishi is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology, fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Onishi is an avid basketball fan, enjoys sports photography, trying out different foods, traveling and spending quality time with his wife, family, and dog Piper.
