Dr. Bonnell earned her Doctor of Optometry degree with High Honors from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology, with a minor in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, from Penn State University.
Outside of the office, Dr. Bonnell is an avid Penn State football fan and enjoys skiing, traveling, and spending time with her husband, son, and daughter.
Dr. Bonnell is simply the best. Always so friendly and welcoming and a true professional. I would not even consider anyone else. Feel darn lucky to have found her.

I had an emergency with my eyes a week after surgery. The on call physicians (twice) called me back right away and were very supportive. I was seen by Dr. Jacob’s and Dr. Bonnell (as well as Dr. Fritz earlier) and they were also very supportive and responsive to my needs.
Always a pleasure to see Dr. Bonnell (no pun intended.) I have an issue called an epiretinal membrane that she is very thorough in monitoring, and she also takes care only to dilate my eyes when necessary. She is so personable and truly remembers and cares about her patients. I would follow her anywhere!
