Meet Lynnwood Walmer, MD
Dr. Walmer graduated from Penn State University M.S. Hershey Medical Center Medical School in 1976 and completed his internship at Baylor College of Medicine, Texas Medical Center, Houston in 1977. He completed his residency at Geisinger Medical Center. In 1987 he was named the PA Physician of the Year by the Governor’s Committee on Employment of the Handicapped and was a 2008 Susquehanna Health System Care Physician. He was a Residents Instructor for Susquehanna Health Systems and is also an Ophthalmology Preceptor for Family Practice Residents since 1980. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the PA Academy of Ophthalmology and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology since 1982.
Dr. Walmer is an avid sports fan and can often be found catching up on the latest scores of his favorite teams in between patients. He also enjoys reading an interesting book. Outside of the office he enjoys spending time gardening/yardwork and spending time with his grandchildren.
